A "side-gig": Dirk wrote and performed a show with a bunch of quite famous Flemish artists : Tars Lootens, Kris De Jean, Ed Kooyman and Herman Van Haeren, Johan Vandendriessche and Loes Vandenheuvel (who needed to be replaced for one show by Mireille Vaessen, who did a tremendously good job!) "Laat het Zijn" means "Let it be". It was all about a crazy story in which a musical school had troubles finding the necessary fundings to continue to exist. But the story was just an excuse to sing parodies on famous international hits (Let it be...).

The Belgian Music indutry did not like the idea and sewed Dirk for it. But the judge decided parody was allowed, and Dirk could go on with the shows.
