More and more in Holland

2008 was the start of the collaboration with the renowned Dutch Speakers Bureau "Assemblee". They represent Dirk in Holland, and they do that very well. For instance Dirk was invited for a series of 5 lectures together with General Dick Berlijn, former head of all Dutch military forces. Dick Berlijn turned out to be an extremely nice person, bringing a very interesting lecture about leadership. Dirk was asked to also "do something with leadership". So he developed his own leadership model, "The Planet of Leadership". Main message: it's not the leader that counts, it's the "leaded". Must be some truth in that: after the lectures there were always a few members of the audience approaching Dirk. They started with "I really enjoyed the show, had some great laughs, but I whave a question about ..." So they were not oly entertained, but they were also struck by the content ! Dirk must be more of an engineer than he ever imagined...

2008 will be remebered in Belgium and Holland as the year of (the teporary decline?) of Fortis Bank. And in these troublesome times, Dirk was invited to perform for 1600 Dutch Fortis employees in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. Subject: the future of Fortis. Angle: Dirk pretends to be a French speaking consultant working for the Belgian Fortis Branch. "Our solution in Belgium: focus". As you may know, pronouncing "focus" with a French accent can lead to misunderstandings. The Dutch audience grapsed that immediately, and there we went for a splendid gig !
